We are happy to announce that on Friday 18/10 our collegue Raphaël Romero defended his PhD thesis titled “Modeling Weighted and Temporal Graphs: Methods and Evaluation”.
Congratulations to Raphaël, all of his collaborators, and to his family and friends!
A heartfelt thank you to the jury members Charlotte Laclau, Tiphaine Viard, Jesse Davis, Willem Waegeman, Guillaume Crevecoeur, and the master of ceremony Gert de Cooman. Proud promotors Tijl De Bie and Jefrey Lijffijt.
Over the past four years, Raphaël studied how to integrate information about edge weights and temporality in graph models, how to incorporate uncertainty in those models, and proposed a framework for more comprehensive evaluation.
All his work is made available open access and open source. Papers with links (and soon the thesis itself) can be found here!
The work was funded by Research Foundation Flanders - FWO and Vlaams AI Onderzoeksprogramma / Flanders AI Research Program.
