Exciting, challenging, and occasionally a bit daunting: presenting your research at conferences to a huge audience filled with experts.
We had the opportunity to attend the European Conference on Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery in Vilnius, Lithuania, with nine people from our group!
Here is a summary of what we contributed there:
We organised and contributed to the BIAS workshop (co-organised by Maarten, MaryBeth & Tijl) and the AI4HR-PES workshop (co-organised by Alex M., Guillaume, Bo & Tijl; presentations Yoosof & Iman)
As steering committee chair, Tijl chaired the community meeting
Nectar track talk ACM Communications’ paper on the Inherent Limitation of Fairness (Maarten & Tijl)
Invited talk “Balancing the risks of disinformation and the fight against it” in the Special Defense & AI track (Tijl)
Two demo’s of software built in our group: TRACE by Edith, KamerRaad by Alex R.
Massive contribution to enthousiasm and atmosphere 💃
We are looking forward to Porto next year already!
